PESTICIDE FORMULATION

Pesticide use should be formulated before the first. Pesticides in its pure form is usually manufactured by the base material, and can be formulated alone or sent to other formulators. By formulators new given names. Here are some pesticide formulations are often encountered:

1. The liquid emulsion (emulsifiable concentrates / emulsible concentrates) emulsion liquid berformulasi pesticides include pesticides that are behind the trade name abbreviation followed oleb ES (emulsifiable solution), WSC (water soluble concentrate). B (emulsifiable) and S (solution). Usually in front of the stands listed a number that indicates the percentage of active ingredient. If the figure is over 90 percent means that pesticide was classified as pure. Liquid pesticide composition typically comprises three components, namely the active ingredients, solvents and grading materials. This class of pesticides called emulsion liquid form because it is a concentrated liquid that can be mixed with water to form an emulsion.

2. Granules (granulars) granular formulations are usually only used in agriculture as a systemic insecticide. Can be used in conjunction planting time to protect plants at early age. Granular pesticide composition usually consists of the active ingredient, a carrier consisting of talc and quartz as well as adhesives. The composition of the active ingredient usually ranges from 2-25 percent, with a grain size of 20-80 mesh. Granular pesticide application is easier when compared with other formulations. Pesticide formulation granules behind the trade name abbreviation usually listed G or WDG (water dispersible granule).

3. Dust (dust) Composition pesticide dust formulations are usually composed of the active ingredient and the carrier such as talc. In agriculture pesticide dust formulations are less widely used, because it is less efficient. Only about 10-40 percent of dust when the pesticide formulation was applied to the target (plant).

4. Flour (powder) composition flour pesticide formulations generally consist of the active ingredient and a carrier such as ground hat or talc (usually 50-75 percent). To recognize pesticide formulations flour, usually behind the tradename listed abbreviation WP (wettable powder) or WSP (water soluble powder).

5. Oil (oil) Pesticide formulations oil can usually be known by the acronym SCO (solluble concentrate in oil). Usually mixed with oils such as xylene solution, karosen or aminoester. Can be used as spraying ULV (ultra low volume) using the atomizer. This formulation is often used on cotton crops. 6. Fumigansia (fumigant) is in the form of pesticide chemicals that can produce steam, gas, odor, smoke used to kill pests. Usually used in the warehouse.
